Blood and Stone is a blend of tower defence, real-time strategy and stealth genres. You play as a vampire where you go out into the village at night and gather blood resources from the villagers, as well as turn unsuspecting guards into ghouls. You must retreat back to your castle before the sun rises and use the blood you have collected to build towers to defend your castle from angry, fearful villagers during the day.
This is my capstone project (final project) for my bachelor’s course. The length of development for this project was 26 weeks.
My role in this project was the lead level designer, marketing lead, and game designer. I worked on balancing all of the active mechanics in this game. I drew up rough sketches of the game’s level layouts, created grey boxing and implemented assets and textures. I designed the terrain using Unity terrain and created textures for the ground and pavement. I also largely contributed to the research and documentation.
For my marketing tasks, I set up and developed the marketing documentation (style guide, marketing Gantt chart, marketing strategy plan, and marketing post plan). I set up and managed social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok). I posted relevant posts 2 - 5 times weekly, gradually building up posts.
